Byron Bay is a town located on the North Coast of NSW. It is well known for its beautiful beaches and laid back lifestyle. It is a great option for those who want a relaxing getaway without breaking the bank. There are many activities to do in Byron Bay. Within Australia, there are flight sales throughout the year to keep an eye on. I travelled with Jetstar as at the time it offered the best price and it was only a short flight time.
Prior to travelling, my friends and I brainstormed activities we would like to do then all voted on the ones that stood out. Next it was time to pre-book activities in order to have everything organised.
Some activities we chose include:

- The Big Prawn: Many Australian towns have iconic large statues and Ballina came through with the Big Prawn, if only it was drenched in garlic and served on a paella YUM!
- The Farm Byron Bay: This beautiful farm is open to all, you can visit the animals, check out all the veggies and fruit or sit down and enjoy a lovely meal. It is a great location for a family or group outing, cute insta pics and there are lost of events that are run throughout the year.

The good thing about Byron Bay is that it is perfect for nature lovers. With so many great locations, there were a few must-do activities we did not want to miss out on. These require your swimmers, energy and good vibes.
- Kayaking: A great website to use when looking for activities to do anywhere you go is Adrenaline. This is how I found our Dolphin Kayaking Tour with Go Sea Kayak. Now I’m not going to lie, it was hard work paddling out deep into the ocean but once you start seeing the dolphins it is so worth it. Plus its a great workout.
- Killen Falls: A popular waterfall with an enjoyable nature walk. The swimming hole is perfect for a refreshing swim, especially on a hot summers day.

Cape Byron
The iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse is a must see, you can drive up or hike up. There is parking once you reach the top for a small fee. The view is spectacular and there are lots of platforms to enjoy it all from different angles. There is also a cafe with outdoor seating overlooking the ocean.

Some non-planned activities we came across were listening to live music and shows on the grass area (Apex Park) overlooking the Main Beach in Byron Bay. Add these activities to your itinerary when you start planning your Byron getaway.
